It was only a matter of time before kids skateboarding along footpaths and in carparks around Picton and Tahmoor caused a serious injury or even death, Wollondilly councillor Judith Hannan said.
Her concern follows reports of an elderly woman who was knocked down by skaters outside Tahmoor Town Centre while shopping.

Racist slogans increase in Wollondilly Shire |

RACIST graffiti could be the focus of a 24-hour clean-up rate if Wollondilly Council gets the funding it needs from the State Government.
The issue was raised at the April council meeting after a complaint from Tahmoor Chamber of Commerce.

Upgrade sends safety message |
|
TRAFFIC in Tahmoor should flow a little smoother with plans to improve safety on the main street underway. The town now has a 50kmh speed zone along Remembrance Drive and new line markings should be in place by the end of this week. The Tahmoor Chamber of Commerce has worked alongside Wollondilly Shire Council's traffic committee to complete the projects.
