It has been three years since police dog Carts was fatally stabbed in the line of duty at Corrimal but his memory is destined to live on. A public memorial dedicated to corrective service and police dogs who died protecting the people they served is in the planning stages at Tahmoor, the birthplace of Carts and his brother Titan, who was also killed on the job. The life-size bronze German shepherd sculpture will take pride of place in Emmett Park, a site both dogs frolicked in as puppies in training.
