After approximately 2 years of lobbying by the Tahmoor Chamber of Commerce the Tahmoor central business district finally has a 50km/hr zone. This will dramatically improve traffic safety in the main street of Tahmoor and surrounding areas.

Residential foot traffic and vehicle traffic has increased substantially in the past few years, and with developments recently like the Tahmoor Town Centre and nearby Wollondilly Anglican College, a 50km/hr zone is now essential. The new 50km/hr zone will be a benefit for motorists, pedestrians and businesses in the area. The Tahmoor Chamber of Commerce is proud of this success and remains committed to improving conditions in Tahmoor for business and the community.
