New line marking inTahmoor |
|
New line marking for the Tahmoor main street parking should occur at the end of March. The new line marking will clearly define that the kerbside lane on the main street of Tahmoor is primarily a dedicated parking lane. The intention of the lane has always been for motorists to use this lane when parking at the kerb but unfortunately many motorists are using this lane as a second traffic lane at 60km/hr and endangering the lives of motorists and pedestrians alike.
This could partly be because it is not clear that this lane is a parking lane so a new configuration of line marking should make this very clear. The Tahmoor Chamber of Commerce has been trying for many months to get this changed and finally it appears that this could happen as early as the end of March.
